Chikako Hashimoto
Author of the extremely compelling "La naissance d'un gourmand", Birth of a gourmand, this expert on Grimod de la Reynière pushes the boundaries of our understanding concerning this major founder of Gastronomy.
We are extremely delighted to count her among our speakers as she will bring an unprecedented view on the complexity of this character and how it may have influenced Brillat-Savarin.
Bio
Lecturer at Kwansei Gakuin University (Japan). Based on her doctoral dissertation defended at Kyoto University, she published The Birth of the Gourmet: Grimod de la Reynière and the French Revolution (Presses universitaires de Tours, 2019), a work that earned him the 4th Anthony Rowley Prize.
